This partnership is to advance the introduction of futsal soccer in the Bay Area.

24-7 UK Soccer Academy is excited to announce a partnership with Futsal Republic, a new indoor futsal soccer venue on Hesperian Blvd in Hayward. While the venue currently offers Futsal Soccer Leagues to both men and women, it is envisaged that with the formation of 24-7 Futsal Academy, a new 24-7 UK Soccer Academy program designed to help introduce the game to the coaches and players in the Bay Area, we will be able to offer local youth players coaching and league play for this fast paced, year-round all action version of indoor soccer.

Futsal is a variant of association football (soccer) that is mainly played indoors. Futsal is played between two teams of five players, one of whom is the goalkeeper, and up to seven substitutes per team. Unlike some other forms of indoor football, the game is played on a hard court surface delimited by lines; walls or boards are not used. Futsal is also played with a smaller ball with less bounce than a regulation football. The rules create an emphasis on improvisation, creativity and technique as well as ball control and passing in small spaces.

This is an exciting opportunity for 24-7 UK Soccer Academy as futsal is "one of the fastest growing sports in the world". The Bay Area has many established youth soccer leagues and we hope that they will soon recognize that Futsal will not only improve their foot skills but will help with their movement and team play year-round.

Ryan Gozali observed, "Futsal is a game of skill and movement which makes it great to watch and fun to play. In addition to the leagues and coaching programs, Ryan will look to run a number of tournaments during the 1st year and look to add additional ones in time". He continued, "tournaments will be a good way of promoting and attracting new players to the venue, however, league play will be year-round and open to boys, girls, men and women from 10 years old. With soccer continuing to grow at such a fast pace and not enough places to play in the summer and many grass fields closed during the winter, artificial turf and indoor space become a premium so we hope that our venue and programs will offer opportunities to many more players especially during this time. I am excited to be able to work with Andy and Mark and the 24-7 UK Soccer Academy coaching staff and feel that this new program will offer excellent coaching to players from around the Bay Area."
