Coaching Points
U14-U19
- Use the inside of the foot, between the middle of your foot and just before your big toe
- Keep foot flat and off the floor, enough to touch the middle of the ball
- Complete with one foot and then swap and use the opposite foot
- Touches should be light yet controlled to ensure the ball does not run away from you
- Stay on toes and head up ready to adjust feet when needed
Progression Ideas
U14-U19
- Increase the speed of the pass to make it more difficult to control
- Change the height of the pass
- Receive the ball from more than one angle
- Finish with a controlled shot or dribble
- Work against a friend and or set a time to complete the drill
