Coaching Points
- Use the sole of the foot, between the middle of your foot and toes
- Stay on your toes and hop from one foot to the other using the sole to touch the middle of the ball and push it forwards
- Complete exercise going backwards before then going forwards
- Touches should be light yet controlled and roll the ball forward from the body
- Stay on toes and head up, yet keeping the ball at the bottom of your peripheral vision
- Check shoulder when performing backwards to ensure you are aware from any obstacles
Progression Ideas
- Increase the speed of the exercise, this will come with practice
- Increase the distance of the drill
- Change directions whilst performing the exercise
- Complete Brazilian toe taps
- Work against a friend and or set a time to complete the drill
